Steve Ashby

Steve Ashby, 40, Died Sunday November 8, 1992.  Memorial services will be at 11a.m. Thursday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral directors Ivy Chapel with the Rev. Jim Smith, pastor of St. Stephen United Methodist church, officiating.  Mr. Ashby was a liftime resident of Amarillo, He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1970 and was involved in construction work.  He was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church.  Survivors include his mother Madeline Ashby of Amarillo, and a brother, Dan Ashby of Houston.

I miss him to this day. And, yes, I am aware of all the other stuff, but I, too, went to St. Stephen's UMC. Just as my parents made me attend (everything), so did his parents. I was always glad to see him (Sunday night included in those days). He was a good person who got caught up in some of the bad that is so much more prevalent today. Yes, I always think of him when we have reunions. Patty

Ken Farren (Farren)

Good guy but somehow lost his way. Tried to help but he couldn't be saved from himself. To many like him from our class. God Bless Steve.

Danny Wilson

Steve was one of my best friends throughout high school. Unfortunately we both kind of lost our ways after high school due to different circumstances. It is only by God's grace and mercy that I survived. We had fun and did crazy teenager stuff. I often think of him. He is still missed.
