Sammy Lee Cross, 49, of Amarillo, died Thursday, July 26, 2001.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with K. Ray McDowell of First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Cross attended Avondale Elementary, Sam Houston Junior High and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1971. He married Sherry Vitali in 1971 at Amarillo.
He worked for Affiliated Food for 23 years from 1974 to 1999. He was working for Willis-Shaw Express as a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Cross of New Boston, George Cross and Thomas Cross, both of Amarillo; a daughter, Ambrosina Pope of Amarillo; his father, Ivy Lee Cross of Amarillo; a brother, Tommy E. Cross of Amarillo; and eight grandchildren.
