Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Amarillo South Church with Ivon Williams Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Mr. Pike was born July 9, 1951, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and moved to Amarillo in 1970. He graduated from Tascosa High School as well as Amarillo College and West Texas State University. He worked for more than 25 as a convenience store manager in Amarillo. He worked for Child Protective Services for seven years and recently earned his five year pin as a counselor for Texas Rehabilitation Center.

Dana loved to fish and was an avid Cub's fan.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Buck Pike in 1985.

Survivors include two daughters, Rachel of Amarillo and Rebecca of San Francisco; his parents, Harold and Loma Pike of Amarillo; two brothers, Scot Pike and wife, Sandy, and Dave Pike and wife, Teri, all of Amarillo; two sisters, including his twin, Debbie Melton and husband, Rickie, of Amarillo and Sue Williams and husband, Ivon Williams Jr., of Post.

The family suggests memorials be to Child Protective Services

Viewing will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

I never saw him without a smile on his face.  He always greeted me as if he was so glad to see me.  Would run into him occassionally for many years after graduation.  He never changed.  Same smile and warm welcome.  I miss seeing him.
