Richard Carver Baker, 42, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 1996. 

Memorial services will be at 2:30pm Tuesday at Paramount Terrace Christian Church Chapel with the Rev. Roy Wheeler, senior Minister, officiating.  Private Burial will be in the Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral directors.

Mr. Baker was born at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala., and had lived in Amarillo for most of his life.  He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1971 and attended Amarillo College and Texas Tech University.  He had been a special technician for Levi-Strauss, Owens Corning Fiberglass and Southwestern Public Service Co. 

He was and an accomplished pianist, and a student of the Bible and the great philosophers.  He was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church.

survivors include his father, James Brad Baker of Amarillo, and two brothers, James C. Baker of San Antonio and John B. Baker of Arlington Heights, Ill. 

The family will be at 6704 Calumet and requests memorials be to Texas Panhandle Alliance for Mentally Ill.
