Gayle Jean Ritchie, 57, and Jack Gorman Ritchie, 57, both of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 28, 2010.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Fellowship West Sanctuary with Jimmy Evans officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Gayle was born Jan. 15, 1953, in Amarillo to Clarence and Helen Gruber. She graduated from Amarillo High School. Gayle was a homemaker. She was a talented artist.

Jack was born Dec. 2, 1952, in Amarillo to Jack and Jean Ritchie. He graduated from Amarillo High School. Jack had worked in postal meter sales. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball.

Jack and Gayle were married on Feb. 17, 1970. They had attended Trinity Fellowship Church. Both were loving grandparents.

They are survived by a daughter, Shawn Schwier and husband Jason of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Michael Ritchie of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Laura, Blake, Bryce and Ben; her mother, Helen Gruber of Amarillo; her sister, Carol Montgomery and husband Don of Laramie, Wyo.; his parents, Jack and Jean Ritchie of Amarillo; his brothers, Herb Ritchie of Houston, and Tim Ritchie and wife Lisa, Steve Ritchie and wife Julie and Brian Ritchie and wife Molly, all of Amarillo; his sister, Kim Lamb and husband Jeff of Lewisville; and several nieces and nephews.

Gayle - You will never know how very sorry I am for what happened to you.  I wish I had known - maybe it would have made a difference - maybe not...

We had such good times when we were in the 5th and 6th grades.  Walking around Belmar - writing in the hot tar - the tree house in Puckett...    Such fun!  And the phone calls!!!  I know you know what I am talking about!  That was such a hoot!

Please know that you are missed and that you were truly loved by people you had not seen in ages.  We'll never forget you!
